CLOTHING - Proper clothing is a must while at the boathouse. The body will be exposed to the elements for up to several hours at a time. Please have your Daughters wear "layers" of clothing. Several layers are more protective than one bulky jacket. They can take off outer layers when they begin to overheat and then have clothes to put back on as they cool down. The girls can also get wet at any given time. With layers, they will be able to take wet clothes off and still have the dry ones to wear home. Also, the girls can't row in bulky jackets - they must be able to move and be flexible.
PHYSICAL AND PARENT PERMISSION FORMS - Girls must have both SEE REQUIRED FORMS PAGE . If they are a Freshman or are involved in other sports, they are OK. Any physicals done after July 1st are good for the entire year. All other rowers must get a new physical. Permission forms must be signed by a parent of guardian for all participants. These forms will be available at the boathouse in February.
TRANSPORTATION - During the Spring season, a bus will be available after each school day to take the girls to Brigantine. They must be picked up at the boathouse at the end of practice. Carpooling is a convenient way of handling the rides home. Once the girls know who's who around the boathouse they can schedule rides with the help of their parents. That way most of the parents will need to drive to Brigantine only a couple times per week.
